There are two tenders in a chicken. They are cut from whole chickens and marketed as tenders instead of chicken breasts.

They are often breaded and fried or baked in the oven to make chicken strips, chicken fingers, or chicken fillets.

High heat is ideal for cooking tenders. Sear the tenders on high heat to brown on the exterior while preserving the juice inside.

DO NOT OVERCOOK, otherwise, the texture will become dry and harsh.

  • Cayenne powder
  • Unsalted butter
  • Garlic
  • Bottled Italian seasoning (Simply Organic or McCormick brand)
  • Salt
  • Lemon juice
  • Chopped parsley
  • Lemon wedges

Step 1: To boost flavor, sprinkle smoked paprika and cayenne pepper over the chicken tenders. For now, set them aside.

Step 2: Start by melting 3 tablespoons of butter in a heated cast-iron skillet or other heavy pans. Toss the chicken pieces into the butter after it has melted. Then, after one or two minutes of undisturbed cooking, turn and continue cooking.

Step 3: Put the chicken tenders on one side of the frying pan. Add the remaining garlic and a tablespoon of butter to the pan. Combine the garlic with the Italian seasoning and then sprinkle it over the chicken tenders.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter room temperature
  • 3 - 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound 0.4 kg chicken tenders
  • 3 dashes of cayenne powder
  • 1 tsp bottled Italian seasoning Simply Organic or McCormick brand
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • lemon wedges
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
 

  1. Add smoked paprika and cayenne pepper to the chicken tenders for flavor. Put them aside for now.
  2. Put 3 tablespoons of butter into a hot cast-iron (or other heavy) pan. When the butter is hot and bubbling, throw in the chicken strips. Leave undisturbed for one to two minutes, flip, and continue cooking.
  3. The chicken tenders should be moved to one side of the pan. Put the remaining tablespoon of butter and the minced garlic into the skillet. Mix the Italian seasoning with the chicken and garlic, then sprinkle it on top of the chicken tenders.
  4. Cook the chicken tenders in the pan with the salt and lemon juice until they are browned on both sides. Put in some chopped parsley and mix it all. Take it off the fire and serve it with lemon wedges right away. Before serving, give it a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
