Scale

2 to 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon dried minced onion flakes

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste

1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes

2 (14.5-ounce) cans chicken broth

1 (24-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce

¼ c grated Parmesan cheese

8 ounces campanelle pasta (equivalent to 3 cups uncooked)

Instructions

In a 6-quart slow cooker place the chicken breasts, garlic, minced onion flakes, Italian seasoning, tomato paste, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chicken broth and spaghetti sauce. Mix everything together until well combined.

Cover the slow cooker with its lid. Set it on LOW. Let it cook for 6 to 8 hours allowing all the flavors to blend together and the chicken to become tender.

Once the cooking time is up carefully remove the chicken breasts using a pair of forks. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces on a plate or cutting board.

Put back the shredded chicken into the slow cooker. Add Parmesan cheese and campanelle pasta. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute all ingredients.

Cover with the lid again. Switch to a HIGH setting and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the pasta is fully cooked according to your preference.

Once the pasta is done cooking give the soup a stir. It’s ready to be served. Ladle it into bowls ensuring each serving has a mix of chicken, pasta and broth. Enjoy this delicious Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan Soup made right at home!
