1 (14.75 oz) can of canned salmon

½ c seasoned dry bread crumbs

¼ c chopped onion

1 large egg

1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

Start by opening the can of salmon and pouring the liquid into a bowl keeping it aside for later. Transfer the drained salmon to a mixing bowl.

To the salmon add breadcrumbs chopped onion and an egg. Mix all the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined.

Take portions of the mixture. Shape them into patties. If the mixture seems dry and crumbly you can moisten it slightly by adding a little of the reserved salmon liquid until it holds its shape.

In a skillet heat some olive oil over medium heat making sure it’s adequately hot, before adding the patties.

Carefully place the patties in the skillet. Cook them for 3 to 4 minutes, on each side until they turn golden brown and are fully cooked.

Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet. Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any oil. Once they have drained well they are ready to be served.
