This is the ultimate garlic shrimp Recipe ever with luscious shrimp coated in extra garlicky, superbly rich, butter-based sauce. Serve this over rice for a no-fuss dinner perfect for a busy day!
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 c. (slightly packed) minced fresh garlic (nearly 1 medium head)
1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced into 1 tablespoon pieces
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Pat dry the shrimp using paper towels to remove the extra moisture. Then, put the shrimp in a bowl.
Add the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper to the bowl and toss to completely coat the shrimp.
Cook the garlic for approximately 30 seconds until aromatic.
In the skillet, lay the shrimp in one layer and cook for about 2 minutes until the first side is pinkish. Flip and cook the other side for 2 minutes more until just done.
Take the skillet off the heat. Then, sprinkle the shrimp with lemon. Toss and garnish with some parsley if desired.
Serve the shrimp immediately with some extra garlic on top. And do not forget to spoon the sauce from the pan over the shrimp. Enjoy!
