How to Make the Perfect Easy Sheet Pan Dinner

Sheet pan dinners are great because they’re fairly simple and don’t require a ton of work. Plus, you can essentially make the “same” meal, yet change the ingredients out based on what you have available, or what your mood happens to be.

It’s really simple. Your method will stay the same each time, but you can change your ingredients to fit your mood and availability, as mentioned above. Follow these steps to create the perfect sheet pan dinner in no time:

Pick Your Protein

Choose which protein you’re going to cook! Maybe you already have a protein prepped from earlier in the week, if so – great! You don’t have to include it on the sheet pan while you’re cooking everything else. But if you don’t have a protein prepped, that’s okay, too. Choose what you’re going to cook, and you can add it to the pan along with your veggies. (Keep in mind that depending on the type of protein, your cooking temperature and time may change).

Pick Your Carb

Chopping potatoes (sweet, purple, russet, you name it) is a popular way to add a starchier carb to your sheet pan. But you can also opt to leave potatoes off the pan and have a carb on the side. This could be a serving of rice, quinoa, or even some gluten-free noodles if the mood strikes.

Pick Your Veggies

The options here really are endless! Broccoli, zucchini, onions, butternut squash, green beans, brussels sprouts, carrots, peppers, sweet peppers, asparagus.. those are just a few of the veggies that you can include on your sheet pan!

The Extras

Choose your healthy fat (cooking oil, butter, ghee, or a marinade or sauce), and seasoning! One night you may feel like keeping things simple with just a little salt and pepper. Maybe another night you want more of an Asian flare so you’ll add in some coconut aminos.

Don’t be afraid to play around with flavors and combinations until you find your perfect ten.
