Description

Imagine each batch of Crock Pot Christmas Crack as a tribute, to the festive season. In this batch you’ll find a combination of textures and flavors—a satisfying crunch of peanuts coated in a rich blend of semi-sweet and milk chocolate with a playful hint of sweet and salty harmony. The peanut butter chips add depth and a creamy richness to the mix while the white almond bark creates a backdrop infused with vanilla. This isn’t any candy; it’s, like holding a handful of Christmas magic capturing the spirit of celebration, warmth and shared happiness.

Ingredients

Scale

16 ounces of unsalted peanuts (one 16-ounce jar)

16 ounces of salted peanuts (one 16-ounce jar)

12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips (one 12-ounce bag)

12 ounces of milk chocolate chips (one 12-ounce bag)

20 ounces of peanut butter chips (two 10-ounce bags)

2 pounds of white almond bark (or vanilla candy coating)

Instructions

Let’s begin by placing the 16 ounces of unsalted peanuts, into the crock pot.

Now add the 16 ounces of salted peanuts on top of the unsalted ones.

Next, pour in the 12 ounces of sweet chocolate chips followed by the 12 ounces of milk chocolate chips.

Make sure to distribute the 20 ounces of peanut butter chips over the layers of chocolate.

If needed break up the 2 pounds of almond bark into pieces and layer them last.

Cover the crock pot with its lid, set it on heat and allow it to cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes without stirring.

Once that time has passed give the mixture a stir to ensure melting.

Replace the lid. Continue cooking on low heat for an additional 30 minutes.

When done turn off the crock pot, give one stir to ensure everything is well mixed together. Cover it again. Let it sit for 30 minutes. The remaining heat will help melt any remaining solids.

Lastly, spoon out portions of this mixture onto parchment paper. Let them cool until they become firm. This usually takes around 1 hour.

Remember to exercise patience – make sure that your candy is completely firm at room temperature, before serving or packaging it.
