Garlic aioli sauce
That garlic aioli sauce is out of this world! It’s easy (just throw everything in a bowl and stir it with a spoon) and quick to put together. Use it as a dipping sauce for chicken fritters, fries, and vegetables. The sauce is also fantastic on sandwiches and burgers. Have you ever created an aioli? If not, you are already missing out!
To make Cheesy Chicken Fritters
The ingredients to make these fritters are fairly simple and easy to find.
For the Chicken Fritters:
- 3 large Chicken breasts
- All-purpose flour
- Mozzarella cheese (about 1 1/3 cups, shredded)
- Extra light olive oil (or any high-heat cooking oil)
- Chopped fresh dill
For the Garlic Aioli Dip:
- Garlic clove
- Lemon juice
To make this recipe gluten-free (you should use this ingredient instead):
- Cornstarch or Potato starch in place of all-purpose flour for a gluten-free version.
These chicken patties are oozing with flavor and have a crunchy, cheesy outside and a juicy inside. You won’t be able to eat just one! These chicken patties are also amazing to serve at room temperature. Reheating them in a pan is an excellent option if you’re lucky enough to have leftovers!
Step 1: Dice chicken into 1/3-inch pieces and place in a large bowl. Tip: Chicken breasts are simpler to slice when partially frozen.
Step 2: Add the remaining batter ingredients to the mixing bowl. Stir, cover, and chill overnight.
Step 3: Over medium heat, add 2 Tbsp oil to a large non-stick pan. When oil is heated, add chicken mixture a heaping tbsp at a time.
Step 4: Slightly flatten the tops with the back of your spoon and fry uncovered for 3-4 min on the first side, then turn and fry for 3 min on the second side or until the outsides are golden brown and the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Step 5: If using aioli, mix all ingredients in a small dish or measuring cup until smooth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Ground Chicken OK, or Pre-cooked Chicken?
ABSOLUTELY! Diced chicken is our favorite because of its juicy bits and tender texture, but ground chicken works just as well. You can also try to use precooked chicken. For a quick lunch or snack, you are welcome to use whatever you have on hand!
Serving Suggestions for Chicken Patties
Chicken patties disappear as quickly as they come out of the pan, but you can use them as an appetizer, a filling for sliders, a side dish, or a main dish. Try them with the garlic aioli; it’s delicious and sure to win!
