4 large green tomatoes

2 large eggs

½ c. milk

1 c. all-purpose flour

½ c. cornmeal

½ c. bread crumbs

2 tsp coarse kosher salt

¼ tsp ground black pepper

1 quart vegetable oil for frying


Instructions

Cut the tomatoes into slices that’re approximately 1/2 inch thick. Next coat the tomato slices, in a mixture of flour, egg and breadcrumbs.

In a skillet heat vegetable oil to a temperature of 375°F (190°C).

Place the tomato slices into the oil and fry them until they turn a golden brown color, on both sides.

Once fried to perfection remove the tomato slices from the skillet. Allow them to drain on paper towels. Serve them while still hot and savor their deliciousness!
