Okay friends, for those of you asking what my thoughts are on Caulipower Pizza Crust – this one is for you!

“If Cauliflower can somehow become pizza, you my friend, can do anything.”

everyone on the internet

Cauliflower is all the rage right now. It’s everywhere. Pretending to be french fries, mashed potatoes, rice, and now.. pizza.

I’ve been cooking with cauliflower for years; either steaming it with other fresh veggies, sautéing in stir-fry, and within the last couple years as a substitute for rice.

But I haven’t jumped on the pizza bandwagon until now. Mostly because making your own cauliflower crust has proved too daunting a task (like, who has time for that?!).

Luckily, there are way more gluten free brands and pre-made cauliflower pizza crusts on the market than there were seven years ago, which means your girl’s got options.

Caulipower Pizza Crust

My Caulipower Pizza Crust Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Caulipower is a gluten-free brand with products such as cauliflower pizza crust, chicken tenders, sweet potato toast, cauliflower rice, cauliflower tortilla shells (a personal favorite), and cauliflower pasta (which I am excited to try).

It’s also a woman-owned business, which is something worth celebrating, and they also believe in giving back. Caulipower has committed to donating $1 million over the next 3 years to support the American Heart Association’s food security and education programs. This comes after contributing a percentage of sales since the beginning of the company to the Teaching Gardens as a means to help fight against childhood obesity.

I can honestly say after trying this pizza crust I am a HUGE fan. If you live in midwest, I know for a fact Hy Vee sells it, and so does Target, Fresh Tyme, Natural Grocers, and Fareway as well.

Because their frozen pizzas contain real cheese, I’ve only ever used the naked crust, but my 10 year old is a huge fan of the turkey pepperoni pizza (he doesn’t even know it’s made from cauliflower so let’s just keep that little secret between us, k? K).

I gave this pizza crust 5 stars because it passes the flavor test, the cook test, the easy test, and the crisp test.

Here are my favorite topping choices:

Traditional:

  • 1/4 cup tomato paste (you can use more or less depending on your preferences
  • 1/2 cup Daiya Foods dairy free mozzarella cheese
  • 10 turkey pepperonis
  • Optional: top with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, and add Canadian bacon (pictured) or use in place of the pepperoni.

Hawaiian:

  • 1/4-1/2 cup sugar free barbecue sauce
  • 4 ounces of pulled pork
  • A few “sprinkles” of diced pineapple and onions
  • 1/2 cup Daiya Foods dairy free mozzarella cheese

Bake according to the package’s directions

Some helpful hints:

  • For a softer crust, bake for about 13 minutes.
  • If you like a crispier crust, opt for 15 minutes, give or take.
  • Let it cool for about 3 minutes before cutting to give the crust time to crisp.

Which brand should I review next?
