What You Need To Make This Pecan Pie Bark Recipe?
Honey Graham Crackers: They are the hero, in this recipe. These crackers provide a crispy foundation that beautifully complements the rich toppings. Consider them as the canvas for our pecan pie masterpiece.
Unsalted Butter: The butter acts as the binding agent that holds our bark together. By using unsalted butter we have control over the saltiness ensuring a perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Brown Sugar: This is not just your sugar. It’s the heart of our caramel. Whether you opt for dark sugar it adds a deep and molasses-like sweetness that is essential for achieving that classic pecan pie flavor.
Pecan Halves: They steal the spotlight in this recipe. Pecans not only contribute depth to the bark but also offer a delightful crunch. You can choose between chopped pecans for a rustic texture or whole pecans for an elegant presentation.
Salt: Its impact is significant. Salt enhances all the flavors by cutting through the sweetness and bringing out the best in both pecans and caramel.
Pure Vanilla Extract: This ingredient plays a role behind the scenes. Vanilla extract adds a warmth to harmonize all flavors creating a bridge, between buttery caramel and nutty pecans.

Step 2: Take a cookie sheet measuring 15.25 x 10.25 inches line it with foil and give it a butter coating. Arrange the graham crackers, on the sheet trimming them if necessary to fit snugly.
Step 3: Now we’ll prepare our pecan caramel sauce. In a saucepan combine the butter, sugar, pecans, and salt. Heat it over medium heat until it reaches a boiling point stirring for two minutes before removing from heat. Don’t forget to add that touch of vanilla!
Step 4: Pour this warm and bubbling mixture over the graham crackers. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly making sure all the crackers are coated and the pecans are distributed evenly.
Step 5: Place, in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until you achieve a bubbly and golden top.
Step 6: Remember to be patient! Allow the bark to cool completely before breaking it into pieces. Store it in an airtight container to keep its crispiness and delightful taste intact.
Tip:
To enhance the taste and texture of your Pecan Pie Bark it is recommended to toast the pecans before incorporating them into the caramel mixture. By toasting the nuts in a skillet, over heat until they become fragrant (usually around 3 to 5 minutes) you intensify their nutty flavor and achieve a satisfyingly deeper crunch. This brief step heightens the flavor profile of your bark making it more tantalizing. However, it’s important to keep a watch while toasting as nuts can quickly transition from toasted to burnt! This small extra effort can truly create a difference in the output of your treat.
