Steps To Make Crock Pot Christmas Crack:
Step 1: Begin by layering the unsalted peanuts and their salted counterparts into your crock pot, creating a nutty foundation. Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips evenly on top, followed by the peanut butter chips, ensuring a mix of textures and flavors in every bite. Finish by adding chunks of the white almond bark, which will melt and marry all the ingredients together.
Step 2: Cozy up the lid on your slow cooker and set the heat to low. Let the magic happen for about an hour and a half. When it’s time, gently stir the mixture to ensure everything is getting evenly cozy with the heat. Cover it back up, and give it another half-hour of warmth. After a total of two hours, give it one last good stir, turn off the heat, and let it sit for 30 more minutes—think of it as letting the flavors cuddle up and settle down together.
Step 3: Now for the grand finale: Spoon out the now perfectly married mixture onto sheets of parchment paper. Spread it out into bite-sized pieces and let them cool off for about an hour. As they take a rest at room temperature, they’ll transform into the delightful crack we’re after.
Tip:
For the smoothest, most evenly melted chocolate and peanut butter chips, make sure your crock pot is on the low setting, and resist the temptation to open the lid too often. Each peek releases heat and creates temperature fluctuations that can affect the melting process. For an extra glossy finish, consider adding a tablespoon of coconut oil to the mix; it’ll give your Christmas Crack that artisanal shine that looks as divine as it tastes. Plus, it imparts a slight tropical hint that complements the rich flavors beautifully without overpowering them.
