This Sweet Potato Latte Recipe is a creamy, spiced beverage made with roasted sweet potato, coconut milk, maple syrup, and warm spices. Naturally sweet and caffeine-free, it is a perfect cozy drink for any time of day.
2 Servings

Ingredients

  • 150 g roasted or steamed sweet potato skin removed
  • 1 cup 240ml light coconut milk (or milk of choice)
  • ½ cup 120ml filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons 30g maple syrup (or preferred sweetener)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • A pinch of freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Blend the Ingredients

  1. In a high-speed blender, combine the roasted or steamed sweet potato, coconut milk, filtered water, maple syrup, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg, and black pepper. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and lightly frothy. Ensure all ingredients are well incorporated for a uniform consistency.

Heat the Latte

  1. Transfer the blended mixture into a small saucepan and place it over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Heat until steaming, but do not let it reach a boil, as overheating may alter the flavor profile of the spices.

Serve and Garnish

  1. Once heated, remove from the stove and pour the latte into a serving mug. If desired, sprinkle with additional cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.
