Ingredients

  • 3/4 c whole milk
  • 3/4 c heavy cream
  • 6 large eggs plus 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 loaf French bread cut into 8 slices
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 c light brown sugar packed
  • 1/3 c light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 1 c pecans chopped

Instructions
 

  1. Whisk milk, cream, eggs, yolks, and vanilla in a bowl.
  2. Arrange bread in a shallow dish and pour the egg mixture over it. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan, then mix in brown sugar, corn syrup, maple syrup, and pecans.
  5. Spread the pecan mixture in a casserole dish. And place the soaked bread on top.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
