Instructions
Prepare the Crock Pot
Slice the sirloin steak into thin strips and place them in an even layer at the bottom of the crock pot. Ensure the pieces are not overlapping excessively for even cooking.
Add the Seasonings
Sprinkle the brown gravy mix, au jus mix, and ranch seasoning evenly over the meat. These mixes will create a flavorful sauce as they combine with the natural juices of the steak during cooking.
Add the Water
Pour 2 ½ cups of water into the crock pot. Use a spoon or spatula to gently stir, ensuring the seasonings dissolve and evenly coat the steak.
Set the Cooking Time
Cover the crock pot with the lid and set it to cook on low for 8–10 hours or on high for 4–5 hours. During cooking, stir occasionally if possible to distribute the flavors evenly.
Serve
Once the steak is tender and infused with the rich sauce, serve it hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta. Ensure each serving is generously drizzled with the flavorful sauce from the crock pot.
Notes
To make this recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free gravy mix, au jus mix, and ranch seasoning. Confirm the sirloin steak is free of added marinades or flavorings containing gluten.
