Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1 c onion, diced

1 tbsp garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

1 can (10.7 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup (with or without garlic)

1 can (10.7 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

Β½ c milk

2 c shredded cheese

cooking spray

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375Β°F and coat a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, diced onions, and minced garlic. Until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain well. Season with salt and pepper.

Arrange a layer of thinly sliced potatoes on the bottom of the prepared pan. Add half of the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, evaporated milk, and regular milk until smooth. Pour half of this soup mixture over the beef layer. And sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.

Repeat the layers. Starting with potatoes. Then beef, the soup mixture. And ending with the remaining cheese on top.

Cover the casserole with a piece of foil, tenting it slightly. To prevent the cheese from sticking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove the foil. And continue baking for an additional 30 minutes. Until the top is golden and bubbly.

Let the casserole stand on a wire rack for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
