Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds round steaks or top round steaks
1/2 c flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large yellow onion, sliced
2 c thinly sliced fresh mushrooms
1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 c beef broth
Instructions
Cut the steak into 4 pieces and pound lightly.
Mix flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Coat the meat in this mixture.
Heat oil in a large pan. Brown the meat on both sides, then set aside.
SautΓ© onions and mushrooms in the same pan until golden.
Return the meat to the pan, add tomatoes and beef broth.
Cover and simmer on low for 1 hour until the meat is tender.
Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
