1 pound ground beef

1 chopped yellow onion

1 chopped bell pepper

1 small head of cabbage, cored and chopped

1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes

2 teaspoons Creole seasoning (such as Tony Chachere’s)

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

2 c shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

In a large skillet. Over medium heat. Cook the ground beef. Until browned. If there’s more than a few tablespoons of fat. Drain the excess. But a little bit of fat. Can be left in the pan.

Add the chopped onion. And bell pepper to the skillet. And sautΓ© for 3-4 minutes.

Next, mix in the cabbage, and diced tomatoes. And all of the seasonings. Cover the skillet with a lid. And let it cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste the dish. And adjust the salt. Or seasoning if needed.
