Daily Harvest is a packaged food brand that is healthy, organic, and can be delivered straight to your doorstep. To top it off, Daily Harvest food is dairy-free, gluten-free, does not contain GMOS, fillers, or anything artificial.

Pros:

Speedy Delivery

I was pleasantly surprised when, after making my selection, my box of goodies arrived THE NEXT DAY.

Variety

My Daily Harvest gifted box was full of smoothies, harvest bowls, soups, flatbreads, bites, and harvest bakes.

While I have yet to try every single thing that was sent to me so far, I have tried a fair amount, and have genuinely liked every single thing I’ve tasted, especially the bites. They’re dangerous. I could eat an entire container in one sitting, and probably a second and third.

Cons:

Plant Based Only

While I get that everything Daily Harvest creates is plant-based, and I knew it going into this trial, I did find myself adding meat-sources of protein to the flatbreads and harvest bowls. Not because I didn’t enjoy them, but more because I just wanted to add more protein. The meals were definitely tasty enough without doing so.

I wouldn’t necessarily call this a con, but felt I had to even out the opinions, here.

Storage Space

This is more a me-problem than anything, but I did have a hard time finding enough storage space in our freezer for all the containers. Some of the harvest bake containers are fairly good size packages, which leaves little room for much else in your freezer. But maybe that’s the point all along: make it so that you won’t have the space, or the desire, to add any other brands of food. Great job, marketing department. I see you.

Would I Recommend Daily Harvest?

If you’re looking for quick meal options to incorporate into your routine from time to time that are healthy and full of superfood value, then yes I would recommend Daily Harvest. I wouldn’t rely on the service to take over your entire meal prep, but I do think there’s value and a place for this brand in your life. Just maybe not enough space in your freezer.
