Warm Maple Pecan Brie Appetizer

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
This Warm Maple Pecan Brie Appetizer is the perfect blend of sweet, savory, and creamy in every bite. You take a round of brie, bake it until it’s gooey and soft, then pour over a luscious topping made of maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, pecans, and a dash of cinnamon. Serve it with some crusty baguette slices or crackers, and you’ve got yourself an appetizer that’s fancy enough for company but easy enough for any weeknight. Seriously, it’s one of those dishes that makes people believe you spent way more while on it than you did!
Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounces round of brie
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 c packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 c pecans roughly chopped
  • Sliced baguette or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. First, get your oven going at 350°F and line a baking sheet with some parchment paper—that’ll make cleanup way easier later.
  2. Place your brie right in the center of the sheet and let it bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, just until it gets nice and soft but not totally melted. Once it’s ready, carefully move it to a serving plate and let it sit for 20 minutes to cool down a bit. I know it’s tempting, but trust me, waiting makes all the difference!
  3. While the brie is cooling, it’s time to whip up that delicious topping. Dissolve your butter in a little saucepan over low heat. Once it's melted, stir in the brown sugar and maple syrup, letting everything blend together until the sugar completely dissolves. Then take it off the heat and stir in the chopped pecans and cinnamon for that extra cozy flavor.
  4. Now for the fun part—pour that warm, buttery pecan sauce all over the brie. Serve it up with slices of bread or some crackers, and watch everyone dig in!
