2 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup avocado diced
  • cups frozen pineapple
  • ½ cup fresh spinach
  • ½ cup fresh kale
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or preferred sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup coconut water

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Ensure all ingredients are measured and ready for blending. If the pineapple is not already frozen, place it in the freezer for at least one hour prior to preparation.

Layer the Ingredients in the Blender

  1. Begin by adding the coconut water to the blender, followed by the avocado, frozen pineapple, spinach, kale, agave nectar, and lime juice.

Blend Until Smooth

  1. Start blending on a low setting, gradually increasing the speed to high. Blend for 30 to 60 seconds, or until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the smoothie achieves a creamy, smooth consistency.

Adjust to Taste

  1. Taste the smoothie and adjust as needed. If additional sweetness is desired, add more agave nectar. If a thinner consistency is preferred, incorporate a small amount of extra coconut water and blend again.

Serve Immediately

  1. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately. For an enhanced presentation, garnish with a lime slice or a sprinkle of shredded coconut.

Notes

This Tropical Smoothie Avocolada Recipe is naturally gluten-free. However, consider these additional precautions:
  •  Check Sweeteners – While agave nectar is typically gluten-free, always verify product labels to avoid any cross-contamination.
  •  Coconut Water – Some brands may add flavoring or stabilizers that contain gluten. Opt for a certified gluten-free coconut water to ensure purity.
  •  Additional Ingredients – If adding protein powders or other mix-ins, ensure they are labeled gluten-free.
With these adjustments, this smoothie remains a safe and delicious choice for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.
