Ingredients

  • 30 wonton wrappers

Wonton Filling:

  • 8 oz ground pork
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • tsp cornstarch

Broth:

  • 8 c chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic whole
  • 2 slices ginger approx. 1/4 inch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions
 

Making the Wontons:

  1. Mix Filling: In a large bowl. Combine the pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and cornstarch. Mix well.
  2. Prepare Wontons: Place a teaspoon of filling. In the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water. Fold into a triangle. And press the edges. To seal. Bring the two corners of the triangle together. And press to secure.
  3. Set Aside: Dust the bottom of each wonton lightly with flour. And set them on a parchment-lined tray.

Preparing the Soup:

  1. Simmer Broth: In a large pot. Combine chicken broth, garlic, ginger slices, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat. And let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove and discard the garlic. And ginger.
  2. Cook Wontons: Add the wontons to the simmering broth. Cook for 4-6 minutes. Until the pork is fully cooked.
  3. Serve: Remove from heat. And serve the soup hot. Garnished with sliced green onions.
