Ingredients

  • 1ΒΌ pounds sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients:

  1. Begin by cutting the sirloin steak into uniform bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic cloves finely and set them aside. Season the steak pieces lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Sear the Steak:

  1. In a large skillet, preferably cast iron, heat the olive oil over high heat until it begins to shimmer. Add the steak pieces in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Sear for 2–3 minutes without moving them to allow a golden-brown crust to form.

Cook Evenly:

  1. Turn the steak pieces to sear on all sides. Depending on your preferred level of doneness, continue cooking for an additional 2–3 minutes. Smaller pieces will cook rapidly, so monitor closely to avoid overcooking.

Add Garlic and Butter:

  1. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the unsalted butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir to evenly distribute the butter and garlic, allowing the flavors to meld and coat the steak bites thoroughly. Cook for approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the garlic becomes aromatic but not browned.

Garnish and Serve:

  1. Remove from heat. Transfer the steak bites to a serving dish, spooning the garlic butter from the pan over the top. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
