Ingredients

  • 2 20-ounces cans diced pineapple, drained
  • 1 10-ounces jar Maraschino cherries, drained
  • ½ c brown sugar
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ¾ c butter sliced

Instructions
 

  1. To start preheat your oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease a baking pan measuring 9×13 inches.
  2. Next evenly spread the drained pineapple and cherries, in the pan.
  3. Sprinkle the sugar over the fruit ensuring it is distributed evenly.
  4. Now take the cake mix and distribute it evenly over the sugared fruit.
  5. Arrange the butter on top of the cake mix making sure it is spread out evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven, for 25 to 30 minutes. Until the top turns a beautiful golden brown.

Notes

Don't worry if you follow a gluten-free lifestyle there's good news, for you! You can still enjoy this dessert. Simply replace the cake mix with a gluten-free option that you can find in most stores. Just make sure to check the ingredients, for any hidden sources of gluten and look out for products labeled as "gluten-free." As a treat consider sprinkling some shredded coconut on top before baking. It will enhance the feel. Add a delightful combination of taste and texture.
