  • 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest optional, for sprinkling on top

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, orange zest, and poppy seeds in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and egg yolks, then mix in the orange extract and food color.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
