Ingredients

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon maple-flavored extract
  • cups broken walnuts

Instructions

Prepare the Baking Dish:

  1. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch glass baking dish. Line the dish with an 8×12-inch sheet of parchment paper, allowing the excess to extend over the sides to facilitate removal once the fudge has set.

Melt the Base Ingredients:

  1. In a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, for approximately 1 to 3 minutes or until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. Take care not to overheat, as white chocolate scorches easily.

Incorporate Flavoring and Walnuts:

  1. Stir in the maple-flavored extract until evenly blended. Add the broken walnuts and fold them into the mixture until well distributed.

Pour and Set the Fudge:

  1. Transfer the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the surface with a spatula. Refrigerate for approximately 1 hour, or until fully set.

Cut and Serve:

  1. Lift the fudge from the dish using the parchment overhang. Place it on a cutting board and cut into squares of the desired size.

Notes

This Maple Nut Fudge recipe is naturally gluten-free with minimal adjustments. The primary ingredients—white chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, maple extract, and walnuts—are typically gluten-free. However, always verify that the white chocolate chips and maple extract are certified gluten-free, as some brands may contain gluten-derived stabilizers or be produced in facilities that process wheat. Once confirmed, the fudge is safe for gluten-free preparation and consumption.
