Ingredients

  • 10 slices bacon
  • c ketchup
  • 2 tbsp prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 lb ground beef chuck
  • 1 8 oz package shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ¼ c dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ c mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 3 oz can French-fried onions

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat and Cook Bacon: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels, then crumble when cool.
  2. Mix Topping: Combine ketchup and mustard in a small bowl.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix crumbled bacon, ground beef, cheddar cheese, eggs, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper with ¼ of the ketchup mixture. Pat into a 5x9-inch loaf pan.
  4. Add Glaze: Spread the remaining ketchup mixture over the top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 45 minutes, then top with French-fried onions. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C) is reached.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
