Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened, or whipped cream cheese for easier spreading
  • 16 whole dill pickles
  • 16 slices of thinly sliced ham

Instructions

Prepare the ham slices:

  1. Lay one slice of ham flat on a clean surface, such as a cutting board. If using smaller slices, slightly overlap two pieces to create a larger base.

Spread the cream cheese:

  1. Using a butter knife or small offset spatula, evenly spread approximately one tablespoon of cream cheese over the surface of the ham slice. Ensure an even layer for a consistent texture.

Position the pickle:

  1. Place one whole dill pickle in the center of the prepared ham slice. If the pickles are particularly large, you may cut them in half lengthwise to better fit.

Roll the ham around the pickle:

  1. Starting at one edge of the ham slice, gently roll it around the pickle, creating a tight but secure roll. Repeat the process with the remaining ham, cream cheese, and pickles.

Slice the rolls:

  1. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into two or three equal portions, depending on your preferred serving size. Ensure even cuts for an attractive presentation.

Refrigerate before serving:

  1. Arrange the sliced rolls on a serving platter and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving. This step allows the cream cheese to firm up and enhances the overall texture.
