Glazed Apple Cinnamon Ring

A delightful Glazed Apple Cinnamon Ring made with cinnamon rolls, Granny Smith apples, raisins, pecans, and a sweet icing drizzle. Perfect for brunch or dessert.
Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 packages refrigerated cinnamon rolls or homemade equivalent
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and sliced into rings
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking stone or a sheet pan; lightly grease or line with parchment paper as desired.

Prepare the Cinnamon Roll Base

  1. Separate the cinnamon rolls from their packaging. Slightly flatten each roll using your hands or a rolling pin. Arrange the rolls in an overlapping circular pattern on the prepared baking stone or sheet pan to form a ring shape.

Add Apple Slices and Toppings

  1. Place the prepared apple rings on top of the arranged cinnamon rolls, distributing them evenly. Sprinkle the raisins and chopped pecans uniformly over the surface of the ring. Lightly dust the entire assembly with the ground cinnamon for added flavor.

Bake the Cinnamon Ring

  1. Transfer the baking stone or sheet pan to the preheated oven. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are puffed and golden brown, and the apples are tender.

Apply the Glaze

  1. Upon removing the cinnamon ring from the oven, drizzle the provided icing from the cinnamon roll packages evenly over the top of the ring while it is still warm. Allow it to set briefly before serving.
