Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger or ginger paste
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 3 green onions finely chopped
  • 3 cups cooked white rice for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Beef

  1. Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook for approximately 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is just beginning to brown.

Incorporate Seasoning and Vegetables

  1. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, garlic powder, minced ginger, and peas to the skillet. Stir thoroughly to combine the flavors. Continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes, or until the peas are warmed through and the beef is fully browned.

Assemble the Donburi
