Ingredients

Cake Batter:

  • 1 box moist yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • 3/4 c canned pumpkin not pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c chopped walnuts

Glaze:

  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. And grease. The bottom and sides. Of a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl. Combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs. Sour cream, canned pumpkin, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix with an electric mixer. On medium speed. For about 2 minutes. Until everything. Is well-blended. Pour 2 cups of the batter. Into the prepared baking dish. Spreading it evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl. Mix the chopped walnuts. And brown sugar together. Sprinkle this mixture. Over the batter. In the pan. Then, carefully spoon. The remaining batter on top. Spreading it evenly. With a spatula. To cover the filling completely. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Or until a toothpick inserted. In the center. Comes out clean. Once done. Place the dish. On a cooling rack.
  4. For the glaze. Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. In a medium bowl. While the cake. Is still warm. Pour the glaze. Over the top. And spread it evenly. With a spatula. Let the cake cool completely. Before serving. Enjoy!
