Ingredients

  • 6 ounces full-fat sour cream
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 7 ounces green olives drained and sliced
  • 6 ounces black olives drained and sliced
  • 8 ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 c thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 –10 ounces loaf French bread
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F. While you prepare the ingredients.
  2. Mix the Spread: In a medium bowl, mix together the sour cream, softened butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth. Stir in the shredded Monterey Jack cheese. And green onions. Finally, fold in the sliced olives.
  3. Prepare the Bread: Slice the French bread in half widthwise. Then slice each half lengthwise. To create four pieces.
  4. Assemble: Spread the olive and cheese mixture evenly. On the cut side of each bread piece.
  5. Bake: Place the bread on a baking sheet. And bake for 20-25 minutes. Until the cheese is melted. And the edges of the bread start to turn golden brown.
  6. Broil: For a perfectly crispy top. Broil the bread for 1-2 minutes. Until the cheese is bubbly. And golden brown.
