Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce

  • 1 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 ½ c water or as needed (optional)
  • 1 pinch chili powder or more to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  2. Add the Ingredients: Stir in the tomato sauce, kidney beans (including their liquid), and stewed tomatoes.
  3. Season: Sprinkle in chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add water. If a thinner chili is preferred.
  4. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Allowing the flavors to meld together.
