Ingredients

  • 1 tube pre-made pizza dough
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese freshly shredded

Optional Toppings:

  • Pickles
  • Onions
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes

Instructions

Prepare the skillet and dough

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pre-made pizza dough into a cast-iron skillet, pressing it evenly across the bottom and slightly up the sides.

Cook the beef

  1. In a separate skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add onions if desired. Cook until the beef is browned and onions are softened. Drain excess grease.

Prepare the sauce

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard. Spread this mixture evenly over the prepared pizza dough in the skillet.

Assemble the layers

  1. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the sauce. Evenly distribute the cooked beef mixture on top, then finish with the remaining shredded cheese.

Bake the pizza

  1. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Finish and serve

  1. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Top with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, or additional onions if desired. Slice and serve warm.
