Buffalo Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients

  • 18 –24 oz frozen breaded butterfly shrimp
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce brand of choice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey

Instructions
 

Bake the Shrimp

  1. Preheat the oven according to the package directions for the frozen shrimp. Arrange the shrimp on a baking sheet and cook as instructed, typically 18–20 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even crisping.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. While the shrimp bakes, combine the melted butter, buffalo sauce, and honey in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until the mixture is fully emulsified and smooth.

Toss the Shrimp

  1. Once the shrimp have finished baking, allow them to cool slightly for 2–3 minutes. Transfer the shrimp to the bowl with the prepared sauce and gently toss until each piece is evenly coated.

Serve Immediately

  1. Arrange the buffalo shrimp on a serving platter. Optionally, accompany with celery and carrot sticks, as well as ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Notes

To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute the frozen breaded shrimp with a certified gluten-free breaded shrimp brand or prepare homemade gluten-free breaded shrimp using rice flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs. Additionally, verify that the buffalo sauce used does not contain any wheat-derived ingredients. The remaining ingredients are naturally gluten-free.
