Ingredients

  • Bacon: 4 slices cooked to desired crispness
  • Lettuce: 2 leaves preferably crisp varieties such as iceberg or romaine
  • Tomato: 2 slices ripe and juicy
  • Bread: 2 slices toasted (preferably white or whole wheat)
  • Mayonnaise: 1 tablespoon

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bacon:

  1. Place a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon slices and cook for approximately 10 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even browning.
  2. Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Toast the Bread:

  1. While the bacon is cooking, toast two slices of bread until they reach a golden-brown crispness.

Assemble the Sandwich:

  1. Spread mayonnaise evenly over one side of each toasted bread slice.
  2. Arrange the cooked bacon, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices on one piece of bread.
  3. Place the second slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down, to complete the sandwich.

Serve:

  1. Cut the sandwich diagonally if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

To make this BLT Sandwich Recipe gluten-free, simply use gluten-free bread. Ensure that all other ingredients, particularly the mayonnaise and bacon, are verified as gluten-free.
