Beef Noodle Casserole

A hearty Beef Noodle Casserole made with ground beef, egg noodles, tomato sauce, onions, garlic, Italian seasoning, and cheddar cheese, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 12 ounces egg noodles cooked according to package directions
  • 1 can 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta

  1. Prepare the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain well and set aside.

Brown the Beef

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles.

Season and Sauce

  1. Sprinkle the beef mixture with Italian seasoning, then stir in the tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Allow the mixture to simmer for several minutes to blend flavors.

Combine Ingredients

  1. Add the cooked noodles to the beef mixture and stir until thoroughly combined. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish.

Bake

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and golden.

Garnish and Serve

  1. Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

To make this Beef Noodle Casserole gluten-free, substitute the egg noodles with certified gluten-free pasta. Ensure the tomato sauce and seasonings are gluten-free certified as well.
