Ingredients

  • 1 medium head broccoli chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 medium head cauliflower chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon fried and crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  1. Begin by washing and thoroughly drying the broccoli and cauliflower. Chop both into small, bite-sized pieces and place them into a large mixing bowl.
  2. To the bowl of vegetables, add the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. Mix gently to combine.
  3. In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Ensure the dressing is smooth and well-combined.
  4. Pour the dressing over the broccoli and cauliflower mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly coated in the dressing.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 2–3 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and enhances the overall taste.
  6. Before serving, give the salad a quick stir to redistribute the dressing. Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful, crunchy side dish.

To make this recipe gluten-free, ensure that the mayonnaise, sour cream, and bacon used are certified gluten-free. Additionally, verify that all other ingredients, such as the cheddar cheese and apple cider vinegar, do not contain gluten additives.
