30 wonton wrappers

Wonton Filling:

8 oz ground pork

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1Β½ tsp cornstarch

Broth:

8 c chicken broth

2 cloves garlic, whole

2 slices ginger, approx. 1/4 inch

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

2 green onions, sliced


Instructions

Making the Wontons:

Mix Filling:Β In a large bowl. Combine the pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and cornstarch. Mix well.

Prepare Wontons:Β Place a teaspoon of filling. InΒ the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water. Fold into a triangle. And press the edges.Β To seal.Β Bring the two corners of the triangle together.Β AndΒ press to secure.

Set Aside:Β Dust the bottom of each wonton lightly with flour. AndΒ setΒ themΒ on a parchment-lined tray.

Preparing the Soup:

Simmer Broth:Β In a large pot. Combine chicken broth, garlic, ginger slices, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat. And let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove and discard the garlic. And ginger.

Cook Wontons:Β Add the wontons to the simmering broth. Cook for 4-6 minutes. UntilΒ the porkΒ is fully cooked.

Serve:Β Remove from heat. And serve the soup hot.Β GarnishedΒ with sliced green onions.
