Ingredients

1 can of crescent rolls (8 count)

1 pint of fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1/4 c of granulated sugar

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

A pinch of nutmeg

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Additional sugar for sprinkling


Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.

Unwrap the crescent dough. Separate it into triangles, on a clean surface.

Combine the strawberries with sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl until they are well coated.

Place a portion of the strawberry mixture at the end of each triangle of dough.

Roll up the dough starting from the filled end folding in the sides to secure the strawberries inside.

Place the dumplings on the greased sheet brush them with melted butter and sprinkle some sugar on top.

Bake, for 12 to 15 minutes until they are golden brown. You see bubbles forming around the strawberries.

Allow them to cool slightly before serving to savor their taste.
