Notes
To adapt these beloved Pretzel Rolls. Into a gluten-free delight. Embrace the world of gluten-free baking. With open arms. And a dash of creativity. Begin by substituting the all-purpose flour. With a high-quality gluten-free flour blend. Designed for bread baking. Look for a blend. That contains xanthan gum. A crucial ingredient. That mimics gluten’s elasticity. Ensuring your rolls still have that chewy. Satisfying texture.
When working with gluten-free dough. Remember it will be a bit more delicate. The dough might be stickier than its gluten-full counterpart. So don’t hesitate to lightly oil your hands. Or use wet hands. When shaping your rolls. To prevent sticking.
Another pro tip: gluten-free doughs benefit from a warm. Moist environment for rising. Consider creating a cozy spot for your dough. By heating a cup of water in the microwave. Until it’s steamy. Then place your bowl of dough in the microwave (turned off) alongside the cup. This makeshift proofing box. Encourages a good rise.
