Ingredients
Crispy Chocolate Layers:
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, separated
11 oz. butterscotch chips, separated
1 c creamy peanut butter, separated
3 c Cocoa Pebbles cereal, separated
Nougat Layer:
ΒΌ c unsalted butter
1 c granulated sugar
ΒΌ c evaporated milk
7 oz. marshmallow fluff
ΒΌ c creamy peanut butter
1 Β½ c roasted, lightly salted peanuts, roughly chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
Caramel Layer:
11-oz. bag of KRAFT caramels or caramel bits
ΒΌ c evaporated milk
Instructions
Crispy Chocolate Bottom Layer:
Prepare a 9Γ13 baking dish. By spraying it with cooking spray. And lining it with parchment paper. Set it aside.
In a large microwave-safe bowl. Combine half of the chocolate chips. With butterscotch chips, and peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second bursts. Stirring in between. Until everything is fully melted. And smooth.
Mix in half of the Cocoa Pebbles. Ensuring they are completely coated. Pour this mixture. Into the prepared baking dish. And spread it evenly.
Chill in the refrigerator until it sets. About 15 minutes.
Nougat Layer:
In a small saucepan. Melt the butter. Over medium heat. Then add the sugar. And evaporated milk. Stir constantly until the butter is melted. And the sugar dissolves.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. And cook for an additional 5 minutes. Stirring frequently. Remove the pan. From the heat.
Mix in the marshmallow creme. Until well blended. Then, add the peanut butter. And vanilla extract. Stirring until combined. Fold in the chopped peanuts.
Spread the nougat layer evenly. Over the chilled chocolate layer. Return to the refrigerator to set. For about 15 minutes.
Caramel Layer:
In a microwave-safe bowl. Combine the unwrapped caramels. And evaporated milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. Then continue to microwave. In 30-second intervals. Until the caramel is smooth. And melted.
Evenly spread the caramel. Over the nougat layer. Refrigerate again for about 15 minutes. Or until set.
Crispy Chocolate Top Layer:
Repeat the steps. From the bottom layer. Melt the remaining chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter. In a microwave-safe bowl. Heating in 30-second increments. And stirring until smooth.
Mix in the remaining Cocoa Pebbles. Until thoroughly coated. Pour this mixture. Over the firm caramel layer. And spread evenly.
Refrigerate the bars. For about 30 minutes. Until fully set.
Keep the bars chilled. Until you’re ready to enjoy them. Slice into squares. And serve.
