Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces sour cream
2 tablespoon taco seasoning
1/3 c salsa (taco or picante sauce)
1–2 jalapenos, seeded and diced finely (to taste)
1 1/2 c cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 c chicken, cooked and shredded
1/3 c cilantro, finely chopped
6 (8-inch) flour tortillas
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, chicken, and cilantro. Until well combined.
Place a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture evenly. Across the entire surface.
Roll the tortilla up tightly. And place it seam-side down on a plate. Repeat with the remaining tortillas. And filling.
Chill the rolled tortillas in the refrigerator. For at least 2 hours to set.
Once chilled, slice each roll-up into 1-inch pieces. Discard the ends. And serve.
Notes
To make this recipe gluten-free. Simply swap out the flour tortillas. For gluten-free tortillas. Many brands offer great-tasting alternatives. That work just as well for rolling. Ensure your taco seasoning is gluten-free as well. Some store-bought blends may contain gluten. So check the label. Or make your own at home. The rest of the ingredients, including the cream cheese, cheddar, and chicken. Are naturally gluten-free. Making this an easy conversion. That everyone can enjoy!
