1 whole egg, lightly beaten

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp ground mustard

1 tbsp smoked sweet paprika

1 tsp salt

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp butter, for frying


Instructions

Let’s start by preparing the Kaiser Roll: Dip the bread roll in water. Until it softens. Then make sure to squeeze out any water.

Next, mix all the ingredients together: Lightly beat an egg in a bowl. Then add ground beef. Chopped onion Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard smoked sweet paprika, salt, and pepper. Tear the soaked Kaiser roll into pieces and mix it in.

Now it’s time to shape the patties: Thoroughly combine all the ingredients in the bowl. If the mixture is too moist. You can add some breadcrumbs to adjust the texture. Shape the mixture into balls. Then flatten them into patties. Lightly coat each patty with breadcrumbs.

To cook the Frikadellen: Heat vegetable oil and butter in a stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot add the patties. Cook each side until they turn brown. Reduce heat to medium.
