Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

1 1/8 tsp active dry yeast

1 tsp granulated sugar

3/4 cup warm water

1 1/2 tbsp olive oil

3/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp white vinegar

1 1/2 to 2 c bread flour or all-purpose flour

Topping:

1 1/2 tbsp salted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/3 c freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 1/4 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl. Or the bowl of a stand mixer. Combine 1/2 cup of warm water. With the sugar. And yeast. Stir the mixture. And let it sit for about 5 minutes. Until it becomes frothy. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of warm water, olive oil, salt, and vinegar.

Start mixing on medium-low speed. Gradually adding the flour. Knead the dough for a few minutes. Until it becomes smooth. And elastic. The dough should be slightly sticky. But not too sticky to handle. Typically, 1 1/2 cups of flour works well. Cover the bowl with a clean towel. And let the dough rest in a warm place. For about an hour to rise.

Preheat your oven to 475Β°F. Placing a pizza stone. Or an upside-down baking sheet. Inside to heat up.

Once the dough has risen. Gently punch it down. Lay out a large piece of parchment paper on your countertop. And use your hands (or a rolling pin, though hands work better) to spread the dough into a rectangle. About 1/3 inch thick.

In a small bowl. Mix together the melted butter. And minced garlic. Evenly spread this mixture over the dough. Ensuring it covers the entire surface. Sprinkle the parmesan. And mozzarella cheeses evenly on top.

Carefully transfer the dough. Still on the parchment paper. Onto the preheated pizza stone. Or baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes. Or until the breadsticks are golden. And the cheese is bubbly.

Serve warm. With your favorite dipping sauces. Such as marinara or ranch.

And all other ingredients are certified gluten-free as well. The texture may be slightly different. But the breadsticks will still be soft, chewy. And full of that cheesy, garlicky goodness. Whether you’re gluten-sensitive. Or simply prefer a gluten-free diet. This adaptation ensures everyone can enjoy these breadsticks. Without missing out on any flavor.
