Description

You won’t find a better walnut brownie recipe than this one. If you like chocolate, you’ll enjoy these decadent Chocolate Brownies with Walnuts!

Ingredients

Scale

4 eggs beaten

2 c. 500 ml sugar

1 c. 250 ml unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp 5 ml baking powder

1 c. 250 ml all-purpose flour

1 c. 250 ml butter, at room temperature

1 c. 250 ml chopped walnuts

½ tsp 2.5 ml salt

Instructions

Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C. Ready a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Grease, flour, and set aside.

In a bowl, sift the flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Cream the butter and sugar in a different bowl until light and fluffy. Then, add the eggs and beat well until blended.

Into the creamed mixture, add the dry ingredients. Mix well until combined, then fold in the walnuts. Into the prepared pan, pour the batter.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until the brownies start pulling away from the sides of the pan.

Remove from the oven when done and let the brownie cool fully before cutting into squares.

Notes

Brownies cooked from home are simple to make and taste far better than store-bought varieties. The addition of nutty, delicious walnuts elevates these chocolate brownies to the next level. Do not feel obligated to use walnuts if you do not enjoy their flavor.

Serve the brownies warm with a big scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Or enjoy these brownies straight out of the pan!

How To Make it Gluten-free:

Use store-bought gluten-fee flour such as White Wings All Purpose Gluten Free flour or homemade.

Although nuts are naturally gluten-free, make sure to always be careful when using flavored nuts.

Cocoa powder is gluten-free since it contains only unsweetened cocoa. A well-known gluten-free brand is Hershey’s Unsweetened Cocoa Powder.

Pure sugar is gluten-free, but always check the label and make sure that sugar is stored separately from flour that could cross-contaminate.

Baking powder is gluten-free in nature. But be sure to read the label because some brands might add starch. Or you can make your own.
